Your privacy is important to us and we encourage parents to supervise their children’s activities online and to participate with their children’s online activities whenever possible. We also encourage children to always check with their parents or guardians before entering information on any website or mobile application and to never provide any personal information in their username.
Parents of children can be confident that any personal information that may be provided to our website will be collected and maintained in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Act (COPPA). We at almondine.club want everyone’s experience with our website to be a fun, positive, learning experience.
Collection of Information from Children
Children can use the Almondine website without having to share personal information. And, you can visit our website without having to register with us. We do not ask for more information than is necessary for a child to participate in any activity. When we ask for your child’s name for special activities, such as posting their Drawings, we are simply asking for non-personal information. We encourage children to use only the first name (not the surname) while online and children can participate in special Almondine activities using no name at all. Anything that is submitted on the Almondine website is screened regularly to detect and delete a user’s personal identifiable information, including full names, email addresses, home addresses and telephone numbers.
USE AND DISCLOSURE
If a child sends a request to almondine.club, then we may keep their email address long enough to respond to them. This information is deleted from our system soon after we answer their question or request.
If a child signs up for an email newsletter or other activity that requires multiple online contacts with the child, we also ask the child for a parent or guardian’s email address so we can notify the parent or guardian and give them an opportunity to opt out of such usage. We may use the child’s online contact information for the purpose stated in the notice if the parent or guardian fails to respond to the notice. The child’s personal information will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed or combined with any other information collected from the child.
